Summary:Creativity has been considered, without a doubt, to be one of the core competencies that some of the personnel in a global firm must possess. Even though creativity has been studied in various fields, due to scholars' unparalleled approaches toward creativity, a uniform theoiy on creativity is yet to be established. The reason for such phenomenon is due to creativity being applied and practiced in various fields that lead to respective definitions of creativity depending on the fields. Moreover, it is limited to the establishment of a widely accepted theory on the optimal environment for encouraging creativity because scholars' contradicting suggestions on the given condition. It is especially critical in the business fields because impetuous generalizations over creativity may lead to degrading influence on their business performance. Based on these perimeters, the following study was undertaken. In this study, the process of creative thinking is defined. To define the process, creative thinking is interpreted as a thinking process within the firm's environment, creativity prerequisites, knowledge creation, and creativity performance that was established on a theoretical model which was tested through a structural equation model. Based on the results of these studies, practical and theoretical implications on organizational creativity are suggested.
