Structural and magnetic properties of Ce4+-substituted W-type strontium ferrites

Ce4+-substituted strontium W-type hexagonal ferrites Sr1-xCexZn1.4Ni0.6Fe16O27 (x = 0.00 to 0.30 with steps of 0.06) have beenprepared using a solid-state method. Summary:Ce4+-substituted strontium W-type hexagonal ferrites Sr1-xCexZn1.4Ni0.6Fe16O27 (x = 0.00 to 0.30 with steps of 0.06) have beenprepared using a solid-state method. The XRD patterns of specimens exhibit a single-phase W-type crystalline structure. The particles show a hexagonal flake shape. The saturation magnetization slightly decreases for x < 0.12 and then increasessignificantly for x > 0.12, which is opposite to the change of coercivity. The initial magnetic permeability shows a significantincrease due to the effect of the saturation magnetization and the grain size of specimens. KCI Citation Count: 0
