Summary:This study aims to examine the mediating effect and the moderated mediation effect of sense of community on the relationship between perceived impacts and support for community development projects. Data were collected from 230 residents participating in the Rural New Revitalization Plus Project in Gongju, Chungcheongnam-do, using a structured questionnaire. The findings indicate that community participation mediated the relationship between all kinds of perceived impact and support for community development projects. Additionally, sense of community moderated the effect of community participation and support for community development projects. Furthermore, a sense of community also moderated the mediating effect of all kinds of perceived impacton support for community development projects through community participation. Implications for community development pratice are discussed and future research suggested.
