Summary:Remarkable air temperature increases in urban areas are known as heat island phenomenon. In this study, we analyzed the effects of renewable energy on the heat island phenomenon in urban area by numerical method. The results showed that the use of renewable energy reduces the building energy use in urban area and contributes the alleviation of the Urban Heat Island Effects.
