한국의 전통 소반의 조형적 형태를 이용한 문화상품 개발 -공고상의 조형적 특징을 중심으로

본 연구는 한국의 전통소반의 하나인 공고상을 응용하여 차와 음료문화와 연관된 문화상품으로 개발하고자 하였다. 연구과정은 차와 음료 문화에 대한 변천을 살펴보고 전통을 응용한 다양한 문화상품 사례를 조사하였다. 그리고 기존의 대중적인 차도구 및 음료 악세서리와 어울리는 문화상품과의 연계성을 파악하였다. 이를 바탕으로 소반 및 공고상의 특징을 연구하여 찻잔받침 및 컵홀더의 기능으로 재해석한 문화상품을 개발하였다. 디자인 전개과정은 우선 소반의 일반적인 특징을 연구하고 이어서 공고상의 기능과 조형적 차별성에 대한 디자인요소를 분석하였다. 다음으로 현재 시중에 유통되는 다양한 제품을 취합하여 디자인의 표본이 되는 사이즈를 규정하고 찻잔받침 및 컵홀더의 본원적 기능에 적합하게 변용하였다. 그리고 투각장식이 조합된 공고상의 조형미를 응용하여 전통찻잔과의 조화를 고려하였다. 공고상의 상판이 수평을 이루고 아래쪽이 넓은 통각형인 구조적 특징을 이용해 뒤집어서 컵을 넣어 고정할 수 있는 컵홀더로도 활용할 수 있도록 했다. 또한 찻잔이나 종이컵 등의 재질이 주는 차가움과 단조로움을 나무의 따뜻한 색감과 결이 어우러져 자연미를 더하도록 했다. 이렇게 디자인된 제품의 양산성을 확보하기 위해 목공기계 및 CAD/CAM을 활용하고 작업공정을 규격화하여 생산성을 향상시킬 수 있는 방법을 마련하고자 했다. 본 연구를 통해 소비자가 전통문화에 대한 가치를 느끼고 실용성과 디자인, 스토리 등이 결합된 찻잔받침 및 컵홀더로 재해석하였다. The purpose of this study is to develop cultural products related with tea and beverage by applying Gonggosang, one of the traditional Sobans in Korea. The procedure of this study is to review the transition of the tea and beverage related culture and to investigate many examples of various cultural products applying the tradition. In addition, the relation of developing cultural products harmonious with the existing popular appliances for tea and the accessories for beverage has been analyzed. On the basis of this, the features of Soban and Gonggosang have been researched and it has been developed as the cultural products reanalyzing the function of the tea and cup holders. In the stage of designing, the general features of Soban have been studied at first, and subsequently the designing factors in the aspect of the function and the formative distinctiveness of Gonggosang have been analyzed. After that, by collecting various products that has been currently being sold, defining the sizes for the design sample has been made and it has been properly transformed to the fundamental function of the teacup and cup holders. In addition, the harmony with the traditional teacups has been considered by applying the formative beauty combined with openwork decoration. Gonggosang has been applied as the cup holder to fix by inserting an overturned cup under by using the structural features that the upper board of Gonggosang is horizontal and the form of the lower part is cylinder and wide. By making the harmonious feeling between the coldness and monotony that the materials of the teacups or paper cups give and the warm colors of the wood, the natural beauty has been added. In order to secure the mass production of such designed products, the wood working machine and CAD/CAM have been used and the methods to improve the productivity have been intended to prepare by standardizing the working process. Through this study, the customers could realize the value of the traditional culture and the Gonggosang has been reanalyzed as the teacup holders or cup holders combined with practicality, design and stories.
