Summary:We measured area, radius, volume and the highest point of neurosensory retinal detachment in 19 patients with central serous chorioretinopathy using Heidelberg Retina Tomograph(HRT).They were statically analyzed and correlated with visual acuity and the duration of symptom. Mean (±SD)area of neurosensory retinal detachment was 9.310(±5.926) mm2 ; mean radius(±SD)was 1.690(±0.560)mm ; mean volume(±SD)was 1.216(±0.918)mm3 ; mean highest point(±SD)was 0.304(±0.089)mm.The correlation coefficients between visual acuity and volume of sensory retinal detachment were 0.748(P=0.0002).The correlation coefficients between visu-al acuity and period of symptom improvement were 0.742(P<0.001). HRT could be useful in measuring the degree of neurosensory retinal detachment and estimating visual acuity and visual recovery period in cen-tral serous chorioretinopathy(J Korean Ophthalmol Soc 41:2585~2590,2000)
