Summary:The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of Korean Culture Lessons (KCL) presented by Korean pre-service teachers as part of an overseas teacher training program at an American elementary school and an American university’s summer camp for children. Surveys were conducted, and the results from 163 American elementary school students and 22 pre-service teachers were examined. The data analysis showed there were statistically positive responses to KCL from American elementary school students and Korean pre-service teachers. KCI made American elementary school students understand K-culture better and become more interested than before. The satisfaction with KCL was also high among Korean pre-service teachers as well as American elementary school students. There were differences in grade levels of American elementary school students in their pre-Korean understanding, subsequent satisfaction with KCL and interest in K-culture after class. The higher the grade of elementary school students is in the USA, the more positive benefits they seem to receive in various areas from KCL. (162 words) KCI Citation Count: 0
