Purpose: This study aimed to clarify the related phenomenon structure and meaning by an in-depth exploration of the exhaustion experience of home healthcare nurses. Methods: Six nurses belonging to a general hospital or a higher general hospital with home healthcare nursing experience were interviewed in-depth, and data were collected. Colaizzi'sphenomenological research method was used to analyze the results. Results: It was integrated into 13 topics, 6 topic collections, and 3 categories ('be weary of home care,' 'the responsibility and burden as a professional,' and 'the driving force of overcoming exhaustion.') Conclusion: This study presented the difficulties and demands faced by nurses who participated in home healthcare nursing along with the adaptation process. Therefore, legal and institutional support is needed to improve the working environment in the home healthcare nursing process. KCI Citation Count: 0
