Summary:Purpose: This study aimed to provide a balanced perspective for research expansion by analyzing prior research on organiza-tional citizenship behaviors for domestic nurses. Methods: Literature analysis standards were established and searched through RISS, KISS, DBpia, and NDSL to analyze 55 documents related to organizational citizenship behavior of domestic nurses. Results: All 55 articles are quantitative studies that mainly studied nurses in large hospitals. A wide variety of organizational citizenship behavior measurement tools and item dimensions were used. The tools developed in other academic fields in Korea were also used, but with modification. In addition, 42 independent and 10 dependent variables of organizational citizenship behaviors were identified. The characteristics of the variables focused on identifying the antecedent variables of organizational citizenship behaviors, especially variables related to environmental characteristics. Conclusion: To comprehensively understand the organi-zational citizenship behaviors of nurses, it is urgent to conduct research using various demonstration methods and develop measurement tools suitable for nursing organizational characteristics. Furthermore, research should be conducted using diverse variables such as negative motives and outcomes as well as dependent variables related to positive performance. This study ismeaningful in that it provided an opportunity to understand the strengths and deficiencies of organizational citizenship behavior research for nurses and suggest future research plans.
