Summary: | Recently, along with change of global environment, commodity trade is getting weakened, and service trade is also facing continuous loss. As developmental strategies, growth strategies using resources can be adopted. Connecting MICE industry to cruise industry, we should practice strategic sharing so that it can be the center of service trade. In order to meet the demand of MICE industry and create high added value, it is important to promote convergence between industries in realistic and future-oriented ways. A business model should be developed to create high added value through connection between existing resources and local industry. In order to make it happen, connected development should be done centering around not only each individual industry but connected industries in each region. By designing and sharing strategic programs between MICE industry and cruise industry, we can produce synergy that both industries coexist. It is strongly needed to develop convention centers that are accessible to ports or programs using natural resources from natural environment in discriminated ways. Also, it is necessary to operate connected programs for group tourists on a cruise or participants for events in order to develop local culture, tourism resources, and experiential products. Therefore, this study has attempted to seek strategies that can develop two industries, MICE industry and cruise industry, through connection. KCI Citation Count: 1 |
