Summary:The distribution of Genus Xanthopimpla in an ecological plot in Pasoh Forest Reserve was studied to assess the within-a-habitat diversity of this species. To investigate the horizontal diversity, malaise traps were placed from the edge to the opposite boundary of the ecological plot. For vertical diversity study, framed malaise traps were hanged on tree branches. For horizontal distribution, results showed that Xanthopimpla favors the edge compared to mid or core area, while for vertical distribution, Xanthopimpla species were found only in the ground level. Reasons for low diversity and abundance of Xanthopimpla towards the core area and towards the upper stratum were discussed.
