대학생의 내현적 자기애 성향과 대인관계 문제의 관계: 완벽주의적 자기제시와 부적응적 인지적 정서조절의 순차매개효과

본 연구는 대학생의 내현적 자기애 성향과 대인관계 문제 간의 관계에서 완벽주의적 자기제시와 부적응적 인지적 정서조절의 순차적 매개효과를 검증하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 대학생350명을 대상으로 내현적 자기애, 한국판 완벽주의적 자기제시, 부적응적 인지적 정서조절 전략, 한국판 대인관계 문제 척도 단축형을 사용하여 온라인 설문을 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS29.0과 SPSS PROCESS macro 4.2를 활용하여 빈도분석, 기술통계, 상관분석, 매개효과 분석을 실시하였다. 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 내현적 자기애와 대인관계 문제의 관계에서 완벽주의적 자기제시는 매개효과가 유의하지 않은 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 내현적 자기애와 대인관계 문제의 관계에서 부적응적 인지적 정서조절이 유의미한 매개효과를 보였다. 셋째, 내현적 자기애와 대인관계 문제의 관계에서 완벽주의적 자기제시와 부적응적 인지적 정서조절의 순차적 매개효과가 유의미하게 나타났다. 이는 내현적 자기애 성향이 강할수록 완벽주의적 자기제시 수준이 높아지고, 이에 따라 부적응적 인지적 정서조절 방식이 증가하여 대인관계 문제를 경험할 가능성이 높아짐을 시사한다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의와 한계점, 그리고 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 논의하였다. This study investigated the sequential mediating effects of perfectionistic self-presentation and maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation in the relationship between covert narcissistic traits and interpersonal problems among university students. A total of 350 students completed self-report measures assessing covert narcissism, perfectionistic self-presentation, maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation, and interpersonal problems. Data were analyzed using SPSS 29.0 and PROCESS macro 4.2. Results showed that perfectionistic self-presentation alone did not significantly mediate the relationship. However, maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation had a significant mediating effect, and the sequential mediation through both variables was also significant. These findings suggest that covert narcissism may lead to interpersonal problems through increased perfectionistic self-presentation and maladaptive emotional regulation. Implications and future directions are discussed.
