Summary: | Purpose : This study aims to identify factors related to the field adaptation of new nurses in general hospitals. Specifically, it examines the effects of job crafting, nurse-nurse collaborative behaviors, and nursing organizational culture on field adaptation.
Methods : This cross-sectional study collected the data through online surveys targeting new nurses in general hospitals. Data analysis was conducted using IBM SPSS Statistics 25.0, applying descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression.
Results : Significant factors related to the field adaptation of new nurses in general hospitals were nurse-nurse collaboration behavior (β=.37, p=.001) and nursing organizational culture (β=.26, p=.009). These factors explained 32.9% of the variance in field adaptation.
Conclusion : Enhancing the clinical adaptation of newly graduated nurses in general hospitals requires strengthening nurse-nurse collaborative behaviors and fostering a supportive nursing organizational culture. Strategies to strengthen bonds within the ward and resolve conflicts by utilizing effective educational programs or meetings are needed to improve new nurses’ inexperienced relationships with seniors, and colleagues. |
