Summary:This study empirically analyzed the relationship between work-life balance (WLB), job stress, and job satisfaction for hair care workers to understand the structural correlation between these variables. As a result of the analysis, ‘work-family’, ‘work-leisure’, and ‘work-individual growth’, which are sub-factors of WLB, showed a significant negative (-) relationship with job stress, and some factors showed a significant positive (+) relationship with job satisfaction. In particular, ‘work-individual growth’ and ‘work-family’ were found to have a positive effect on increasing job satisfaction, and job stress acted as a factor that hindered job satisfaction. This study suggests that WLB support policy and stress relief measures are needed at the organizational level to improve the quality of life and job satisfaction of workers in the beauty industry, and suggests the creation of a flexible working environment and operation of a psychological burnout prevention program.
