통합 논술교육의 도덕교육에의 적용 방안 연구

도덕 교육은 학생들로 하여금 ‘인간의 삶에 필요한 도덕규범과 예절을 익히고, 자신뿐만 아니라 사회와 관련된 도덕 문제를 주체적으로 성찰하고 실천하도록 하여 자신의 삶을 바람직하게 영위하도록 하며, 나아가 우리 사회와 세계의 발전에 기여할 것’을 교과 목표로 설정하고 있다. 도덕 교육의 이러한 목표를 달성하는 데 있어서 통합 논술 교육적 접근은 실제적이고 효율적인 교육방법적 원리를 제공할 수 있다. 왜냐하면 통합 논술 교육은 다양한 교과 영역에서 나타날 수 있는 윤리적 문제들을 스스로 생각하고 다른 사람들과 자유롭게 토론하며 심사숙고와 증거의 뒷받침을 근거로 사안들을 자유롭게 결정하고 상대방의 입장에 대한 배려의 토대 위에서 의사소통을 시도하는 태도를 기르는 교육활동인데, 이는 학생들의 반성적이고 자율적인 도덕성 육성을 목표로 하는 도덕교육에 매우 유용한 교육 방법적 기능을 할 수 있기 때문이다. 본 연구자는 고등학교 학생들의 도덕 수업에 통합 논술 교육적 방법을 적용하여 그 효과를 분석하였는데, 도덕 교육에 있어서 통합 논술 교육은 학생들이 도덕적 문제를 인식하고 도덕적 추론과정을 거쳐 대안을 모색하는데 있어서 강의식 수업방식보다 효과적인 교육 방법이 될 수 있다는 점을 확인할 수 있었다. A Study on the Application of Moral Education Models Related to Interdisciplinary Essay Education Moral education aims that students should learn moral rules and standards necessary to value judgment and moral life with the bases of the upright appreciation of self, another person, society, state, nation, and nature. In addition they should reflect on the moral issues independently, and lead an honest life. Furthermore, they should contribute to the development of our society and the world. The new curriculum notified in 2007 emphasizes these moral educational goals. With these goals in mind, I study about the relationship between moral education and interdisciplinary essay education. Interdisciplinary essay education is a new educational trend in the sphere of moral education encouraging students to think through moral issues critically and discuss these issues with one another. From the methods of interdisciplinary essay education, students are expected to cultivate their moral character efficiently, because interdisciplinary essay education improves a student's ability in terms of the recognition of complex moral issues, a self-regulating way of thinking, free discussion, and mutual understanding. In addition, the approach towards interdisciplinary essay education contributes to the achievement of the goals of moral education. Therefore, when teaching morality to students, we should conduct more research concerning interdisciplinary essay education and try to make an efficient application of these educational methods to the teaching of moral education for the achievement of the goals of moral education.
