2009 개정 독서, 문법 교육과정에 대한 비판적 검토

이 연구는 2009 “ 독서와 문법” 과목이 내포한 문제점과 현황을 살펴보고, 향후 “ 독서와 문법” 과목교육과정이 지향해야 한 개선 방안과 과제에 대하여 논하였다. 교육과정과 교과서를 분석해본 결과, 교육과정의 성취기준과 교과서의 내용 면 모두에서 두 분야가 연관성이 없이 단순한 결합 형태를 이루고 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 일선 학교에서는 2009 교육과정에서 의도했던 것과 달리, 지도내용이 전혀 감축되지 않았고 통합적 지도도 전혀 이루어지지 않는 것으로 나타난다. 이는 두 분야의 통합에 대한 연구가 극히 미진하고, 또한 두 분야 지도내용 성격이 본질적으로 다른 데서 기인하며, 일선 학교에는 전혀 대책이 없이 단순한 결합 상태로 던져놓았기 때문에 생길 수밖에 없는 현상이다. 우리는 지금이라도 이 과목을 효율적으로 다룰 수 있는 최소한의 방안이라도 현장에 제공하도록 노력하고, 궁극적으로 “ 독서와 문학” 과목의 존폐 여부 또한 학교 현장을 생각하며 진지하게 논의해야 한다. The purpose of this study is to investigate problems and actual conditions of the subject ‘Reading and Grammar’ in 2009 revised Korean language curriculum, and to propose improvement tasks to solve the problems. For this purpose, we analysed the curriculum and three textbooks of ‘Reading and Grammar’. As a result, we ascertained that the contents of the subject did not have meaningful connections between ‘Reading’ contents and ‘Grammar’ contents in both the curriculums and the textbooks. This subject is a merger of the ``Reading`` subject and the ``Grammar`` subject. Also, this subject is split into two part, Reading and Grammar, and taught separately in schools. So, it can not satisfy the intended purpose that was to reduce the amount of students`` study efforts. Therefore, in the short run, we have to develop contents that show connections between Reading and Grammar and supply them to schools, and in the long run, we have to discuss whether to retain the subject ``Reading and Grammar`` or not.
