학교위험요인이 청소년의 학교중퇴의도에 미치는 영향 -인터넷 과다사용의 매개효과를 중심으로

본 연구는 청소년의 학교중퇴의도에 영향을 미치는 학교위험요인의 직접효과를 확인하고, 인터넷 과다사용이 학교위험요인을 매개하여 학교중퇴의도를 강화하는지 매개효과를 검토하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 경상북도청소년지원센터가 2008년 실시한 `청소년위기실태조사` 자료를 기초로 하여 자료의 농촌지역 편중현상을 해소하기 위해 구미와 포항 등 2개 도시와, 응답자 수가 비슷한 의성군, 성주군 등 2개 농촌 지역을 임의 선정하여 이들 4개 지역의 중·고등학생 1,798명의 자료를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 일반계 고등학교의 학교위험요인 중 학교흥미위기와 교우관계위기가 학교중퇴의도에 영향을 미치며, 인터넷 과다사용은 이들 두 변수가 학교중퇴 의도에 미치는 영향을 매개하여 학교중퇴의도를 더욱 강화시키는 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 중학교와 전문계 고등학교는 각각 학교흥미위기, 교사와의 관계위기, 방과후 시간낭비와 학교흥미위기가 학교중퇴 의도에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 파악됐으나 인터넷 과다사용의 매개효과는 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 토대로 연구의 함의를 살펴보았다. The purpose of this study is to see the effects of school risk factors on intention to school dropout for youth. The direct relationship between school risk factors and intention to school dropout will de examined, as well as the indirect and mediated effect of excessive use of internet in that school risk factors influence the intention of school dropout. A theoretical model of the relationships of school risk factors, excessive use of internet, and intention of school dropout will be given. The data of this study are based on 1,798 of middle school and high school students in Pohang, Gumi city which are urban, and uiseong gun, seongju gun which are rural of Gyeongsangbuk-Do area among respondents of the survey on "Youth Crisis", which was the research of Youth Service Center in Province of Gyeongsangbuk-Do. School interesting risk and schoolmate relation risk of School risk factors directly affect the intention of school dropout through the mediums of excessive use of internet in the case of general high school. But junior high school and vocational high School had not risk factors which directly affected the intention of school dropout, effect of excessive use of internet were not mediated school risk factors influence the intention of school dropout. The derived results stress the necessity of improving school risk factors(school interesting risk, schoolmate relation risk) and reducing excessive use of internet to reduce intention of school dropout.
