중등학교 도덕과 교육과정의 동양윤리영역 분석 -2009 개정교육과정을 중심으로

본 연구는 현재 운영되고 있는 도덕과 교육과정에서 중.고등학교 동양윤리영역의 특성을 분석하여, 앞으로 개정될 교육과정을 위한 개선방안을 제시한 것이다. 지금까지 도덕 교과에 대한 평가는 그다지 긍정적이지 않은 듯 보이는데, 도덕 교과의 성공적인 운영을 위해서는 현재에 대한 진단과 이를 바탕으로 대안을 탐색할 필요가 있다. 도덕 교과의 여러 영역 중 동양윤리는 한자(漢字)를 기본으로 하는경전(經典)에 근거하는 학문적 특성, 동양적 가치체계와 사유구조로 현대 문명의 패러다임과 매우 다른 내용적 특성, 교수.학습의 방법적 측면에서의 특수성 때문에 교육과정에 포함시킬 때 유의하여 접근하지 않을 수 없다. 현재 동양윤리 교육과정을 분석해보면, 중학교는 내용이 축소되어 교과서가 2권이 되었고 서양윤리로 치우친 경향이 있다. 고등학교는 응용윤리인 ‘생활과 윤리’와 사상을 중심으로 한‘윤리와 사상’에 대해 나름대로 성공적인 평가를 내릴 수 있지만, 구체적인 내용이나 대안 모색에서는 동양윤리의 특성과 정서를 간과한 부분이 드러난다. 도덕과 교육과정은 서양의 논리성.합리성에 근거한 접근도 필요하지만, 그것이 주가 되어서는 안 되며 동양윤리의 정서적 접근, 인격 수양, 기본 생활 습관과 태도를 강조하는 교육적 접근을 포함시켜야 할 필요가 있다. The purpose of this study is to propose improvements by analyzing east ethics thoughts in middle and high school moral subject for moral education curriculum development. The curriculum of moral education is the main key for success of the morality subject. Therefore, we have to diagnose the present moral education state and search for the alternatives for successful management of the morality subject. Specially, the field of east ethics is rely on Confucianism textbook based on the word written in Chinese characters. So, the characteristics of knowledge, and contents, the method of teaching and learning are very different from the today``s paradigm. It means that, we have to approach carefully if we want to put in that contents. The moral education curriculum in middle school now in use had reduced two volumes of books. The contents of two books are inclined to based on west ethics. ``Life and Ethics`` and ``Ethics and Thoughts`` of the moral education curriculum in high school are successful to a certain degree. But their detailed contents are not containing east atmosphere. Of course, The moral education curriculum need to approach with logical thinking based on the west. But that approach must not take the whole contents. The moral education curriculum need to organize including the emotion, the cultivation of the mind, attitude and manner of east ethics for education.
