여자 비행청소년의 소년원 경험에 관한 문화기술적 연구 -9호 처분 여자보호소년을 중심으로

본 연구는 소년원에 재원중인 9호 처분을 받은 여자보호소년을 대상으로 하였다. 5명을 연구 참여자로 선정하여 연구자가 자아강화프로그램을 진행하면서 참여관찰을 하고 심층면담을 통해 이들이 소년원에서 어떤 경험을 하고 그 경험은 그들에게 어떤 의미를 주는지 살펴보았다. 연구방법은 연구의 대상이 되는 9호 처분 여자보호소년들이 소년원이라고 하는 독특한 문화를 공유하는 집단이기 때문에 이 안에서 이들이 어떤 경험을 하는지를 살펴보기 위해 문화기술적 연구를 선택하였다. 연구 참여자들이 소년원에서 생활하는 동안의 자료를 기술하고 분석하고 해석하는 과정에서 확인된 주요 영역은 첫째, ``소년원 표류기``로 이 영역에서는 연구 참여자들의 소년원 경험 과정에서 나타나는 (1)저항, (2)체념, (3)후회, (4)변화의 단계별 과정을 보여준다. 이 영역 속에서 소년원 생활의 적응과정과 경험을 볼 수 있다. 둘째, ``다시 세상 속으로`` 에서는 소년원 생활의 마지막 단계인 퇴원 직전의 경험을 보여주는데 (1)골리앗, 사회복귀의 적, (2) 변화한 나와 변하지 않은 나, (3) 기대와 두드림이라는 소주제를 통해 연구 참여자들이 소년원을 나오면서 소년원에서의 경험이 그들에게 어떤 의미를 주는지 보여준다. 이런 내용을 기초로 하여 소년원에 재원중인 9호 처분 여자보호소년들을 공급자가 아닌 수요자의 입장에서 좀 더 실제적인 프로그램을 제공하는데 기여 할 수 있도록 제언하였다. This study surveyed female juvenile inmates under the protective disposition No.9 in the juvenile training school (hereinafter referred to as "the school"). As participants, 5 female juvenile inmates were selected. During self-reinforcement programs, this researcher conducted participation observation and depth interview with them to investigate their experiences in the school, as well as meanings given from such experiences. For the research method, an ethnographic study was selected to examine experiences of female juveniles under the protective disposition No.9, the subjects, in view of a group of sharing a unique culture of the school. Accordingly, some main areas are found as follows, in the process of the participants` description, analysis and interpretation of their lives in the school. The first area is ``Adventures into the Juvenile Training School,`` indicating processes of (1) resistance, (2) resignation, (3) repentance and (4) change by stages in the participant`s experiences in the school. In this area, their adaptation processes and experiences in the school are found. The second area is ``Into the World Again,`` indicating the last stage of their lives, that is, their experiences right before leave from the school. It shows meanings of their experiences in the school, with respect to sub-topics such as (1)Goliath, the enemy of return to society, (2) Changed myself and unchanged myself, (3) Expectation and DoDream. Based on these contents, this study made a proposal applicable to supply more actual programs for female juvenile inmates under the protective disposition No.9, from the viewpoint of demanders, not suppliers.
