도덕교육 내용으로서 덕의 초월성과 사서(四書)의 덕

덕(德)``은 도덕교육 내용의 본질이며 핵심이다. 따라서 덕의 특성을 정확하게 이해하는 것이 도덕교육의 시작이며, 교육을 통해 덕의 본질을 구현하는 것은 바로 도덕교육의 목적이라고 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 ``덕(德)``의 자의(字意)에 담긴 ``초월성``에 초점을 두고, 덕의 특성으로서 초월성에 대한 근거를 제시한다. 문헌에 나타난 덕의 초월적 특성을 밝히는 것은 교육의 내용으로서 도덕교육이 가지는 고유의 영역을 확인하고 도덕교육이 본래의 목적을 성취하기 위해서 초월성 반드시 고려해야 함을 제시하는 과정이다. 덕의 본의(本意)에 초월적 특성이 담겨있음을 확인하는 것은 도덕교육에서 간과되었던 초월성에 대한 이해를 높이는 계기가 될 것이다. 또한, 덕의 초월성이 덕의 본질에 관련된 것임을 확인함으로써 도덕교육의 내용과 교수학습 방법의 변화를 가져올 수 있다. 그리고 초월성이 덕의 본질에 속한다는 것에 대한 명확한 근거를 가지고 도덕교육의 방향과 목표를 정하는 것은 기존의 도덕교육의 여러 제한점을 극복할 가능성을 제시할 수 있다. 덕을 교육의 핵심으로 하는 도덕교육이 본질의 구현을 위한 방향을 필요하지만 현재의 도덕교육에서 덕의 초월성을 간과한다면, 덕의 본의를 살리지 못하는 도덕교육이 될 수 있고 그로 인해 도덕교육이 실패하는 현상을 가져올 수 있다. 이를 해결하는 시도는 덕의 본의에서 초월성의 특징을 명확하게 이해하는 것이 될 것이다. 덕과 초월성의 관계를 설명하기 위해 사서(四書)에 사용된 덕의 의미를 확인함으로써 도덕교육에서 지향해야 할 덕의 초월적 특성에 대한 이해를 돕고 도덕교육이 나갈 패러다임을 제시하고 있다. "Virtue (德)" is the content essence of moral education, which is the core. Thus is the beginning of moral education to accurately understand the virtue characteristic, to implement a virtuous nature through education, it can be just for the purpose of moral education. This study focuses on the ``virtue (德)`` contained in the party of Chinese meaning, presented as a basis for transcendence characteristic of virtue. To clarify the transcendental properties of the virtue that has been shown in the literature, as the content of education, transcendence, be sure to take into account in order to moral education to check the specific area with a moral education to achieve the original purpose it is the process of presenting the need. To confirm that it contains the transcendental properties to the real intention of "Virtue (德)" is going to be an opportunity to enhance the understanding of the transcendence that had oversight of the moral education. Further, by confirming that transcendental properties of the virtue is related to the essence of virtue, it can lead to changes in the contents and teaching method of moral education. Then, the transcendental properties determine the direction and goals of moral education have a clear basis that can overcome some limitations of conventional moral education. Despite the need of direction for the essence of the implementation for moral education, if you have overlooked the transcendental properties in the current moral education, there is possible to bring the phenomenon of moral education to fail. Attempts to solve this problem will be a clear understanding of the features of transcendence of the virtue. By checking the meaning of virtue that have been used in Four Books(四書) in order to explain the virtues transcendence of the relationship, a new paradigm of moral education can help the understanding of the transcendental characteristics of the virtues.
