초기부적응도식과 장애학생 어머니의 심리적 부적응의 관계에서 양육스트레스의 매개효과 검증

본 연구는 장애학생 어머니가 지각한 초기부적응도식과 양육스트레스가 심리적 부적응에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 인천광역시 고등학교 특수학급과 특수학교 장애학생의 어머니 257명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초기부적응도식과 양육스트레스는 정적 상관관계를, 양육스트레스와 심리적 부적응도 정적상관관계를 보여, 초기부적응도식이 높을수록 양육스트레스는 높아지고 양육스트레스가 높을수록 심리적 부적응이 높아지는 경향을 나타냈다. 둘째, 초기부적응도식이 심리적 부적응에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 양육스트레스의 매개효과를 검증한 결과, 본 연구에서는 부분매개 모형이 선택되었다. 즉 양육스트레스는 초기부적응도식과 심리적 부적응간의 관계에서 부분 매개효과를 나타냄으로써 초기부적응도식으로 인해 심리적 부적응을 경험하는 장애학생 어머니에게 양육스트레스가 작용하여 심리적으로 더욱 힘들게 한다는 것을 알 수 있다. 따라서 심리적 부적응(대인예민성, 우울, 적대감, 불안 등)에 어려움을 겪고 있는 장애학생의 어머니에게 부정적인 심리와 우울한 감정을 변화시키고, 양육스트레스를 경감할 수 있는 다양한 프로그램 개발과 상담적 개입이 필요하다. This study examined whether maladaptive schemas and parenting stress were related to psychological maladjustment of mothers of students with disabilities. To this end, 274 mothers of high school special class students and special school students in Incheon city region participated. Correlational analyses showed that all the study variables were positively related to each other, which means that as the mothers have greater maladaptive schemas, they tend to experience more parenting stress and psychological maladjustment. Tests of mediation effects revealed that parenting stress partially mediated the relation between maladaptive schemas and psychological maladjustment. The current findings suggest the need for developing and implementing counseling interventions that assist mothers of students with disabilities who experience substantial degree of parenting stress and subsequent psychological maladjustment.
