청소년자치활동이 임파워먼트에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 청소년 자치활동의 특성을 파악하여 청소년자치활동에 따른 임파워먼트의 차이를 살펴보고 임파워먼트에 영향을 미치는 요인은 무엇인지 알아본 연구이다. 이에 2009년 5월 21일부터 30일까지 현재 청소년 자치활동 중 청소년특별회의, 청소년운영위원회 등으로 참여하고 있는 청소년, 군산시에 재학 중이거나 청소년 활동에 참가하고 있는 중·고등학교 청소년을 대상으로 유의표집 방법으로 자기기입식 설문조사를 수행하고 총 579명의 청소년자치활동 현황 및 임파워먼트 정도를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 청소년자치활동을 하는 청소년들의 임파워먼트가 활동을 전개하지 않는 청소년들 보다 높은 것으로 나타났으며 자치활동 영역에 따른 임파워먼트의 차이는 `공적참여 조직 집단`의 임파워먼트 수준이 개인내적, 대인관계, 정치사회 임파워먼트 모든 부분에서 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 참여수준에 따른 임파워먼트의 차이는 단독의 리더 수준 집단, 공동의 리더 수준 집단, 활동적인 직원의 역할 수준 집단, 회원 수준 집단, 관중 수준의 집단, 방관자 수준의 집단 순으로 높았다. 청소년자치활동이 임파워먼트에 영향을 미치는 요인은 자치활동에서의 참여수준과 활동에 관한 만족도인 것으로 밝혀졌으며 이러한 분석 결과를 토대로 청소년자치활동의 발전 과제 및 방안을 제시하였다. Empowerment of youth in government activities affecting the level of participation in the government activities and activities on the satisfaction degrees on the basis of these results has been reported that the development of youth issues and local action plan was presented.
