양심적 행위의 도덕교육적 함의

양심은 사람으로 하여금 도덕적 행위를 하게 하는 주관적 규범으로서의 힘이다. 인류는 오랜 사유와 경험의 여정에서 반성적 이해를 통하여 양심에 주목해 왔다. 양심적 행위란 양심에 따라 실행된 올바른 행위를 말하며, 도덕교육에 있어서 몇 가지 함축된 의미를 갖는다. 양심적 행위는 첫째, 구체적인 상황에서 자신의 도덕적 의무를 인식하는 도덕적 능력 내지 실천적인 도덕적 판단에 따라 이행되는 행위이다. 둘째, 도덕적 결단의 과정에서 오류 없이 정당성과 확실성을 갖춘 양심의 판단에 따른 행위이다. 셋째, 자신의 양심에 반해서 강제되거나 방해를 받지 않되 객관적 규범에도 부합하여 공동선의 요구에 조화되는 행위이다. The conscience, as a subject norm, is a major faculty letting a person perform his moral judgement and belief. The human beings in the long journey of thought and experience of life have paid attention to the conscience as reflective knowledge and the act followed by it. The implicative meaning for moral education of an act of conscience can be epitomized as some sets. First, the act of conscience is fulfilled from the moral faculty ― which makes known to man in a concrete situation his moral obligations ― and practical moral judgement. Second, the act of conscience is an act which is fulfilled with the certain and correct conscience in a stage of moral decision without any error. Third, the act of conscience is an act which is not forced to act in a manner contrary to his conscience and not restrained from acting in accordance with his conscience, also which corresponds to the objective norm and the demand of common good.
