Summary:The purpose of this study is to analyze the contents system of material fields science text books used in the 5th to 7th edition of the curriculum, from grade 3 to grade 10, with the analysis frame which is composed of 16 subjects. An additional purpose is to teach the contents system of material fields to a chemistry class in order to enable students to be able to study chemistry more easily and systematically. As result, it was found that material contents(from macroscopic contents to microscopic contents) are well linked within the elementary school curriculum. The contents system of material fields dealt with most subjects of the material field from middle school. However, the difference of contents was larger in high school, therefore making it more difficult for students to learn. So we suggest that in the next edition of the curriculum, a proper level of difficulty, depth, and variety of material contents should be incorporated into every grade of level.
