Summary:The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships among children`s HTP, their self-esteem(SE) and emotional intelligence(EI). The subjects of this study were 2371st-, 2nd and 3rd graders of a primary .school located in Daejeon, Korea. The HTP test, Self-esteem profile(Park, 1995), and emotional intelligence questionnaire(Park, Choi, & Park,2000) were used. The data were analyzed using statistical techniques such as frequency, percentage, mean, Pearson`s correlation analysis, Cronbach`s α, analysis of variance, etc. The results were as follows: First. The correlations between children`s HTP scores and their SE showed several meaningful sex- and grade differences. Second. The correlations between children`s HTP scores and EI revealed many significant correlations. All the factors of EI but `empathy` had significant negative correlations with H-, T-, and P scores. This moaned that, unlike SE, EI had significant and meaningful relationship with HTP test scores.
