「研究倫理支援」に関する実態調査

Recognition of the importance of research ethics has increased more in recent years, and the number of persons who work toward supporting researchers or research ethics committees from the ethical aspect, namely research ethics supporter, in research institutes has also been increasing. On the other hand, although they are often faced with questions in actual support, it is difficult to know how other research institutes are dealing with such questions, because there are few chances of cooperation between each supporter. Therefore, we established a “panel of research ethics supporter” as a platform to share each supporter’s experiences in February 2013. We have held meetings 4 times up to now and have got more than 40 participants from 28 institutes.　Through this activity, we understood that the contents of “research ethics support” was widely variable, and understanding current conditions and organizing the concept of support were necessary. Therefore, we conducted questionnaire survey in the participants of panel about their own research ethics support service at their institutes. From this study, we found that the contents of research ethics supports were wide-ranging, and they could be categorized into three types, “the research ethics support division type,” “the clinical study support division type,” and “the official work division type. 　近年、研究倫理の重要性への認識は一段と高まり、研究者や倫理審査委員会等を倫理面でサポートする「研究倫理支援」業務に携わる人一研究倫理支援者一も増えている。他方、実際の支援では疑問等に直面することも多いが、支援者間の連携の機会が少ないため、他機関の対応を参考にすることも難しい。そこで2013年2月に支援者の経験を共有する「場」の提供として「研究倫理支援者懇談会」を立ち上げた。これまで4回の会合を開催し、計28機関から40名以上の参加を得ている。この活動を通じて「研究倫理支援」の中身が多様であり、現状把握や概念整理をすることの必要性が見えてきた。そこで、本懇談会参加者に対し、各自の所属する機関の部署・部門における研究倫理支援の状況についてアンケート調査を行った。今回の調査から、研究倫理支援の内容な多岐にわたっており、実施体制は大きく、「研究倫理支援部門型」、「臨床研究支援部門型」、「事務部門型」の3つに類型化できることなどが分かったので報告する。
