Summary:There are many papers about the generating frequency of an impacted tooth and it is supposed that there is much turn of mandibular and maxillary third molars, maxillary canines, and mandibular premolars. It is defined as the impacted tooth where it is hiding in oral membrane or jawbones, even if time passes with eruption time. It passes with no symptoms and when a dental panoramic tomography is taken, it is discovered in many cases. In this time, we had followed the patient with a impacted tooth (mandibular left side second premolar) for a long time and the following item was measured. (1) The mesiodistal diameter of an impacted tooth (2) Area of a dental follicle (3) The major axis of a dental follicle (4) The minor axis of a dental follicle (5) The angle of tooth axis and mandibular inferior border (6) Migration length of an impacted tooth (7) Migration length of an impacted tooth (annual average) We report a case of image analysis of trabecular bone and dental follicle around impacted tooth.
