Summary:This paper presents an investigation of the experimental and analytical studies to estimate the yield, plastic and ultimate strength of the cruciform model joints, which simulates the connection with eccentricity between a concrete-filled square tubular steel column reinforced with through diaphragm and steel beam subjected to tensile load on the beam flange. The strength capacities of the connections can be estimated by the superposition of the capacity of column flange which is calculated with the Yield Line Theory and that of through diaphragm. The analytical strengths agree comparatively well with the experimental data for this research which are obtained from 11 specimens of this investigation and 19 specimens which were tested by other researchers.
