Summary:In Japan, it is difficult to newly assign the 4K terrestrial broadcasting channel, so it is required to study the way to shift to 4K terrestrial broadcasting utilizing the existing terrestrial broadcasting channel. The LDM (Layered Division Multiplexing) method, which is the basic technology of t his proposal, is a method standardized also in ATSC 3.0 and is a method of hierarchically multiplexing a plurality of signals with power difference. In this paper, we report on the service area of 4K broadcasting when we place it in low power hierarchy with minimum influence on terrestrial digital broadcasting.
