Observation of liquid crystal director in highly polar liquid crystal

By adding a dichroic fluorescent dye to a highly polar liquid crystal with dioxane moiety which show ferroelectric molecular alignment, we observed the orientation vector distribution in the ferroelectric domain by using a confocal laser scanning microscope.
