Summary:Heat transfer in a solar house drying system was simulated. A simulation model for the proposed system was developed and its parameters were determined. The simulation uses the analogy between heat transfer in a thermal system and electric current in an electric circuit. The Personal Computer Simulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis (PSPICE) was used to solve the circuit equations and the results were interpreted accordingly. A detailed discussion of the methods for calculating the thermal parameters and transforming them into electrical parameters is presented. Cumulative-time averages of the actual ambient air temperature and solar radiation were used as model inputs. Incorporating a ventilation heat loss system into the model resulted in reasonable estimates of exhaust air temperature.
