Summary:In the setting of daily emergency medical care, medical doctors often need to work with nurses and other paramedical workers. In such circumstances, the importance of non-technical skills is being described. By analyzing the incident reports in the emergency ward at our hospital, we examined the types of non-technical skills required for emergency medical care. Incidents were often occurred in the situation of medical treatment. Major causes were lack of situation awareness, and trouble in team communication and teamwork. If you have not make a well-trained medical team, it is the most important to share  team mental models among members.
