Summary:We experienced a case of Ramsay-Hunt syndrome without facial nerve palsy. Hunt syndrome is known as a varicella-zoster virus infectious disease with triad of auricular herpes zoster, peripheral facial palsy, and vestibulocochlear nerve symptoms. Although the clinical features are diverse, Hunt syndrome without facial nerve palsy is rare. In many cases, diagnosis of the syndrome is difficult, and the prognosis of hearing loss tends to be poor. According to the reported cases, early diagnosis and intervention may contribute to the prognosis of hearing loss. Therefore, it is necessary to distinguish Hunt syndrome from vertigo even in patients without facial palsy.
