Summary:A 62-year-old woman presented with adenoid cystic carcinoma arising in the parapharyngeal space. The tumor was removed using a cervical-transpharyngeal approach with a middle mandibulotomy. The pathological examination revealed adenoid cystic carcinoma and the presence of tumor at the surgical margin. After surgery the patient underwent radiotherapy (60 Gy). The patient has been followed up for 2years and 10 months and has shown no evidence of disease recurrence.
