Summary:Since a new practical heat-resistant cast iron materials is in demand, effects of graphite spheroidization ratio, matrices and alloying elements of tin, molybdenum and chromium on high temperature creep and thermal fatigue properties of spheroidal graphite cast iron were investigated. Each sample was tensile-tested under constant load at constant high temperature on creep test or at certain temperature range between high and low on thermal fatigue test. Iron structures with higher spheroidization ratio and more stable pearlite matrices alloyed with Sn, Mo and/or Cr was found to have better high temperature properties.
