Summary: | We analyzed information on the cooperative research contracts of Hirosaki University of 2009-2018 fiscal years, in order to clarify the situation of University-Industry research collaborations and the geographical distribution of the partners. We obtained following results.(1) Large companies occupy about 52%, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) occupy about 27% and other institutions than companies occupy about 21%, for the partners of the cooperative researches of Hirosaki University.(2) The number of the cooperative researches with large companies is the highest in the Kanto region, followed by the Kinki region, the Tokai region, Aomori prefecture and the Hokkaido-Tohoku region. The cooperative researches with large companies located in the Kanto, the Tokai and the Hokkaido-Tohoku regions have increased gradually after 2014 or 2015 FY.(3) The number of the cooperative researches with SMEs is the highest in Aomori Prefecture, followed the Kanto region, the Hokkaido-Tohoku region and the Kinki region. There is a tendency to increase for the cooperative researches with SMEs in Aomori Prefecture, the Kanto region and the Hokkaido-Tohoku region.(4) The amount of research funds received in the cooperative researches with companies is in descending order, the Kanto region, the Kinki region, the Hokkaido-Tohoku region, Aomori prefecture and the Tokai region. In addition, the amount of research funding received per cooperative research has increased in the cooperative researches with companies located in the Hokkaido-Tohoku region, the Kanto region, the Tokai region, the Kinki region and Aomori Prefecture.(5) The cooperative researches with institutions other than companies are mainly conducted with institutions in Aomori prefecture and the Kanto region. |
