Summary: | A 74-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital complaining of perineal mass palpation during the strain. Eight years ago, she had undergone anterior colporrhaphy with a diagnosis of cystocele. Reappearance of the sensation of drooping at the age of 70, and at 74, she visited our hospital in hope of surgical treatment. On examination,POP-Q is Aa / Ba / C / gh / pb / tvl / Ap / Bp / D + 0.5 / + 0.5 / -3 / 4.5 / 3/6 / -3 / -3 / -5 respectively, Stage2 Urinary bladder was observed. MRI examination revealed thinning of the left internal obturator muscle and bilateral para vaginal defects. She was mainly wearing cotton clothes because she had an allergy to synthetic fibers, and she was hesitant to perform surgery using polypropylene mesh. Therefore, we performed laparoscopic para vaginal defect repair and anterior colporrhaphy using absorbing thread. No perioperative or postoperative allergic symptoms were observed. Up to now, about 3 years have passed without recurrence. |
