Summary: | Faughnia serenei Moosa, 1982, was thought to be distributed in Japan, but there have been no records based on specimens. In this study, I confirmed the distribution of this species in Japan using specimens in the collection of the Kitakyushu Museum of Natural History and Human History and a newly collected specimen from Miyazaki Prefecture. Partial sequences of COI and 16S rDNA of the mitochondrial DNA of the latter specimen are also reported. |
