Summary:In the interest of expanding the amount and services of the Outler Prize, the executive secretary and pres.-elect have been exploring the ASCH archives for documents specifying the terms and intent of the Outler Prize, such as the meaning of "ecumenical" and whether the prize applies to book manuscripts as well as published books. For this volume, the journal has published 18 articles-2 on ancient Christianity, 4 on medieval topics, 4 on Reformation and early modern issues, 1 on modern Europe, 6 on North American topics, and 1 on Asian Christianity. Of these, 13 addressed topics in ancient Christianity, 8 focused on medieval topics, 18 examined Reformation and early modern issues, 7 dealt with modern Europe, 38 were on North American topics, 2 dealt with Latin America, 4 were on Asian issues, 1 was on Africa, and 1 on a topic dealing with the twentieth century in many regions. Through affiliation, ASCH seeks to assist related societies and groups in pursuing their interests by providing venues for dialogue through the co-sponsorship of conferences and conference sessions; to facilitate networks through publications, mailings, websites, and other forms of communication; and to provide mutual benefits to the members of ASCH and its affiliates.
