Summary:The Niigata Society of Health and Welfare was established in 2001 with the purpose of promoting research in health, medical care, welfare, and sports; engaging in interdisciplinary exchange in related fields; promoting friendship among members; and, thereby, contributing to the improvement and development of health, medical care, welfare, and sports in the region. Since its establishment, the association has expanded and developed its membership across 13 fields, with participation not only from the faculty of the Niigata University of Health and Welfare and staff of the Niigata Rehabilitation Hospital but also from other health, medical, welfare, and sports professionals, graduates, and graduate students.
