Summary:We studied agent washout by blood flow from thermal denatured vascular wall to keep sufficient delivered agent quantity in vascular wall on chronic phase to avoid the restenosis occurrence. We measured the changing of the Rhodamine B fluorescence intensity in the denatured vascular wall during the washout by the constructed closed cycled circulation system with saline to match shear stress to the vascular wall surface. We calculated diffusion coefficient of the agent between the vascular surface and the circulation system during the washout. The diffusion coefficient of the delivered agent with 70°C heating tended to decreased compared with 37°C heating. There were no significantly increased of the diffusion coefficient with increasing of the shear stress to vascular wall. We prospected that the heating to the vascular wall might make the vascular hydrophobic region increasing and enhance the retention of the agent in the vascular wall.
