Macedonia: Balkan Miracle or Balkan Disaster?

While Balkan nationalism began in the 19th century, the Macedonian nation was not officially established until the mid-20th century, and the creation of a modern Macedonian state has occurred only in the last decade of this century. The nation's history is discussed.
