THERAPEUTIC EFFICACY OF RU 28965 IN RESPIRATORY TRACT INFECTIONS

RU 28965, a new macrolide antibiotic, was orally administered to 24 patients with upper and lower respiratory tract infections. Clinical response was excellent in 1, good in 12, fair in 4 and poor in 7 cases. Skin rash was observed in one patient, and slight elevation of transaminase in three.
