Summary:A case of Ewing's sarcoma of the mandible in a young child is presented. A 12-year-old boy was referred to our hospital because of swelling of the cheek, which he noticed 2 months previously. Clinical examination revealed diffuse swelling of the cheek, and a fistula of the gingiva. CT examination revealed a sun-ray apiculated image. MR showed a contract-enhancing lesion in the left mandibular angle. FDG-PET and Ga-scintigraphy revealed no metastasis. Based on the results of histopathological analysis, Ewing's sarcoma was diagnosed. The patient received combined chemotherapy, surgery, and radiotherapy. The patient has shown no evidence of recurrence or metastasis for 24 months.
