Summary: | Three cases of apocrine hidrocystoma were reported. A 64-year-old man (case1) noticed an asymptomatic nodule on the right axillary region. A 47-year-old woman (case2) and a 39-year-old man (case3) had an asymptomatic nodule on the upper eyelid. Histopathological examination of the tumors revealed a cystic cavity which was lined with columnar epithelial cells, exhibiting apocrinetype secretion. In case1 and case3, PAS-positive, diastase-resistant granules were demonstrated within the cytoplasms of the columnar cells. Adding the presented cases to other Japanese cases which had been reported in literatures, the location of lesions, color abnormalities and the histogenesis of apocrine hidrocystoma were also discussed. |
