Summary:Effectiveness, side effect and usefulness of Rinderon DP ointment and cream each containing 0.64mg/g of betamethasone 17, 21-dipropionate were investigated. Totally, 40 patients with discoid lupus erythematosus, lichen planus, idiopathic pigmentary purpura, granuloma annulare, malignant lymphoma and similar diseases, skin-limited amyloidosis and bullous diseases such as pemphigus groups and bullous pemphigoid were subjected to the test. Of these 40 cases, 31 (77.5%) showed effectiveness to be graded as “fairly improved” or better, however, side effects were observed only in 2 cases (5%). In terms of effectiveness and side effects, the drug was judged as a grade of “useful” or better in 30 cases (75%), an extremely high rate. Though patients with such inveterate skin diseases were tested in this study, relatively high rates of effectiveness and usefulness of the drug were obtained.
