Summary:Bacteriological and clinical comparative study were carrid out on azithromycin (AZM) and cefcapene-pivoxil (CFPN-PI). AMZ was administrated 500 mg once a day for three days, CFPN-PI was 100 mg three times a day for seven days to the patients of acute tonsillitis or acute sinusitis. As a result, there was no significant difference of efficacy rate between AZM and CFPN.
