Summary:Two cases of hydroa vacciniforme in 12-and 8-year-old boys were reported. The blisters occurred on their uncovered skin after sun exposure in spring and summer every year. Vesicular eruptions have occasionally occurredin winter. The depressed scars were observedon their sun exposed skin. Artificial ultraviolet with UVA and UVB induced no vesicles on the both cases. However, in the first case vesicles appeared three hours after the sun light exposure and in the second caseafter sea bathing. Skin biopsy specimens of these vesicles showed intraepidermal vesiculation and inflamatory cell infiltrate in the upper dermis. Porphyrins intheir blood and urine were entirely with innormal range. There have been relatively manyreported cases in which vesicles could be induced with multiple exposures to UVA. This mightbe one of the subjects for further examination about this disorder.
