Summary:We investigated the usefulness of the early treatment of pollinosis with Pranlukast and Bepotastine besilate and Beclometasone through a field research approach. We compared the effects of the combination therapy with Pranlukast and Bepotastine besilate and Beclometasone in the season of mass scatter. At the beginning and final session of the field research, there was no significant difference in eosinophilic cationic protein levels, the ventilation of the nasal cavity and visual analog scale evaluation of sneezing, runny nose or daily life. There were some significant differences in the score of sneezing, stuffy nose and daily life and the generalization of the JRQLQ #1 (Japan Rhinoconjunctivitis Quality of Life Questionaire) between the combination therapy with Pranlukast and Bepotastine besilate and the therapy with Beclometasone alone. The early treatment with any medicine for allergic rhinitis had a possibly useful function. The combination therapy with Pranlukast and Bepotastine besilate was more useful for improving the subjective symptoms than the therapy with Beclometasone alone.
