Summary:The authors reported a case of hemophagocytic syndrome (HPS), modified by measles infection. The patient was a 13-month-old female. She had a continuous fever of HPS. With a rash of measles appeared on the 21st day, nowerer, the fever disappeared 4 days later. The rash began to fade. Although she had been stationary for a while, a fever developed on the 45th day after the onset of the rash. Soon she showed a progressive multiple organ failure with pancytopenia and disseminated intravascular coagulation, and died in spite of conservative therapy. We discussed an association between meases infection and HPS.
